About Community Initiatives

The Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH) helps communities improve quality of life and economic vitality through the development of locally-driven housing and revitalization initiatives, while the State of Georgia Consolidated Plan describes how state, local, private, and federal resources will be used to increase the supply of affordable housing and economic opportunities for low and moderate income Georgians.

Together, these resources help communities explore and determine how they can utilize a range of HUD funds to develop and implement long-term strategies to address housing needs and economic growth.
