Eligible Activities and Subgrantees

The primary goal of HOME-ARP is to create sustainable housing solutions that promote long-term stability for Georgians.
- Build Non-Congregant Shelters (NCS)
- Provide private units or rooms for temporary shelter for each household with a door that locks and a bathroom
- Serve individuals and families that meet one or more of the qualifying populations
- A HOME-ARP NCS Unit not require occupants to sign a lease or occupancy agreement
- Build Affordable Rental Housing (Multi-Family)
- One Household per Apartment for Qualifying or Low-Income Populations (with LIHTC)
- Requires occupants to sign a lease or occupancy agreement
- Eligible Activities include the acquisition, construction, and/or rehabilitation of a development, as well as the conversion of non-residential buildings to housing
- Offer Supportive Services
- McKinney-Vento Supportive Services, Homelessness Prevention Services, and Housing Counseling Services
- They are individualized services that address barriers to housing stability
- They provide a broad range of services (but cannot duplicate current services) to anyone who meets at least one QP definition
