Georgia Rehoused: Notice of Funding Availability

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and the State Housing Trust Fund for the Homeless Commission (SHTF) announced today that competitive applications for the second round of Georgia Rehoused funding are now open. Georgia Rehoused is a streamlined process for communities to apply for funding opportunities by demonstrating how their proposals will reduce unsheltered homelessness. 

Applicants will submit a single competitive application to be considered for six Notices of Funding Availability (NOFAs).

Competitive Application Process   

All competitive applications for Georgia Rehoused must be submitted electronically through the application portal. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all required documentation is complete and uploaded at the time of application submission. All organizations must have completed the pre-application to be eligible to submit a full application.  

The Georgia Rehoused Competitive Application closes on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.  

Second Award Cycle Timeline   

  • July 23, 2026: Georgia Rehoused NOFAs and competitive application released  
  • August 6, 2026: Informational Webinar | Join here
  • August 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.: Competitive application closes  
  • September 2026: Anticipated award decisions, approvals, and contracts  

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:    

  1. Collaborative Partnerships: Applicants must be collaborative partnerships representing local community government interests and decisions.    
  2. Unsheltered Homeless Impact: Applicants must be able to show how these funds will result in a reduction in the unsheltered homeless population in their community.    
  3. HMIS: Applicants must be currently using or demonstrate steps taken to use HMIS.
