SCAM ALERT: Housing Choice Voucher

Dear Community Members,

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs has been made aware of individuals posing as Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) staff in an attempt to scam applicants.

Please be advised: DCA does not charge any fees to apply for the Housing Choice Voucher Program. In addition, the DCA Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. If you are asked by email, phone, or text to pay an application fee, told that you can pay to move up on the waiting list, or contacted by someone claiming they can guarantee your admission to the program, this is a scam. End communication immediately and report the incident to DCA.
