DCA Project Based Voucher Properties Opens Waitlists on November 24, 2025

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) announced that six new properties receiving Project Based Vouchers (PBVs) through the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program opened property-maintained waitlists on November 24, 2025.

The Housing Choice Voucher program provides a rental subsidy to assist extremely low- and low-income individuals and families in renting safe, decent, and sanitary housing in the private rental market throughout 159 counties under DCA’s jurisdiction. Project Based Vouchers are a subset of the program in which the rental subsidy is assigned to a place or location, and tenants must register with and qualify for those specific properties to live in the units.

Each property maintains its own waitlist and screening procedures before sending potential applicants to DCA to qualify for units. Please check this public notice on November 24, 2025, to determine which properties will be opening a waitlist, for what duration of time, and how to contact them to apply. Households selected from the properties’ waitlists must be determined eligible by the property and DCA before being able to lease housing in one of the subsidized units. Eligibility for the program is based on several factors, including the family’s income and eligible citizenship status.

Interested participants should contact or visit the property directly for questions and assistance with the application.
