DESCRIPTION: Session Proposals - NOW OPEN\n\nThe Georgia Historic Preserva
 tion Division (HPD) and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation curren
 tly accepting proposals for speaker sessions and speaker nominations for t
 he 2026 Statewide Historic Preservation Conference. The conference will ta
 ke place in Decatur\, GA from November 4-6\, 2026.The statewide preservat
 ion conference brings together preservationists\, preservation professiona
 ls\, preservation non-profit members\, board members\, planners\, architec
 ts\, architectural historians\, archaeologists\, city and county administr
 ators\, city and county council members\, city and county attorneys\, land
 scape architects\, historic preservation commission members\, genealogists
 \, historians\, and planning and preservation students from across Georgia
 . All sessions will be open to all attendees.Sessions should highlight cur
 rent Georgia preservation\, architectural history\, archeology\, cultural 
 landscapes\, landscape architecture\, preservation law\, and other closely
  related topics. The conference session committee desires sessions that wi
 ll be interactive\, engage the audience\, present fresh approaches\, and b
 e easily applicable to a variety of participants from all over Georgia.Ple
 ase submit your proposal via this form by Friday\, May 1\, 2026. Multipl
 e proposals may be submitted\, but please limit one session proposal per s
 ubmission form. Applicants will be notified by email in July.  Questions
